From the beginning, WikyBlog has been designed to handle multiple data types. As of V1.4.4, we have renewed our efforts to design an effective data type creation wizard. Our goal in providing the ability to create custom data types is to provide open content endeavors with an improved system of organization and structure.

Step By Step

1. Log in with your administrative account
2. Go to your Control Panel and select "Create Plugins"
3. Choose the name for your data type.

   Note: Once created your data type will be accessible via http://yourserver.com/<Name>

4. Then it's up to you to define the structure of your data type by adding, removing and naming Columns

   Note: A fair understanding of MySQL Column Types will be useful when setting your plugin's column type.

   Once you have finished defining the structure, click on "Add Plugin" to add it immediately to your system. You may also click "Show Code" to see the generated code and instructions for manual installation.

Congratulations, you have by now completed the creation of your first data type. You can now modify settings for your data type via the "Manage Data Types" page, accessible via your administrator's Control Panel.
